Topic 1 — Change

Make the change you want to see in your life.

We will explore the concept of change, what is change, how does it happen, why being ‘off’ or ‘on’ the wagon never really works, and what does. You’ll learn that stepping outside of yourself and gaining new perspectives is key to creating successful change in your life. You’ll also learn how you can choose to commit to a ‘process of change’ that has flexibility and is judgement free.

In this topic you will discover:

  • Simple approaches that will empower you to make any change in your life
  • How you can cultivate a mindset for change
  • 5 Key ingredients for a successful change process (p.s. no willpower required just willingness)
  • 4 Foundational tools to help you understand where change needs to happen in your life

Topic 2 — State

Understand and master your emotions.

If you’ve had difficulty losing or gaining weight over a long period of time it is likely that paying attention to your state, and learning how to access more resourceful states, more often, is an important step.

Mastering our internal ‘state’ gives us a strong basis for creating change.

In this topic you’ll learn to:

  • Identify when your ‘state’ is useful and when it is holding you back from achieving what you want
  • Recognise ‘chronic’ unwanted emotions
  • Notice and observe your state/s when you engage in eating and health behaviours

Topic 3 — Behaviour

Identify and break old unwanted behaviour pattens and create new positive habits.

You’ll learn why and how being able to choose and take charge of behaviours is so key to your health and weight outcomes.

In this topic you can learn:

  • What is driving your behaviours, and how repetitive unconscious patterns may be established
  • How it is possible to change established neural pathways and related behaviour patterns
  • Why behaviour change should be at the forefront of any healthcare plan
  • How to understand your choices and make better decisions

Topic 4 — Beliefs

Explore your beliefs, where they come from, and why they are so important.

What do you believe about your health and weight generally? What do you believe about your own ability to lose weight and be healthy? 

We will help you to understand how:

  • Your beliefs shape all your choices, decisions and actions
  • Beliefs form the navigational maps of your life
  • You can harness the power of belief to achieve your goals 
  • You can release beliefs that are holding you back from living the life you want

Topic 5 — Conflict and Parts

Discover your internal conflicts that are holding you back from achieving what you want.

How many times have you tried to break a habit but found yourself helplessly doing it anyway?
Does it ever feel like the decision to act and complete a task or achieve a goal evades you, even when you really want it?
If these questions sound familiar, then probably what you were experiencing was a conflict of parts.

This topic explores:

  • Internal conflicts within your own mindset and ‘self’, that may be a barrier to change
  • What produces experiences such as dilemmas, frustration, uncertainty, and mental tantrums
  • How different ‘parts’ of you are responsible for a belief, behaviour or feeling 
  • How to experience more self awareness and self harmony

Topic 6 — Identity

Answer questions about who you are when you are fat, thin, healthy, and who do you want to become.

Can our identity link into our weight and health experience, and if so how?

Ultimately in this topic we are encouraging health and slender living as a ‘way of being’. That means, on some level, the very concept of who you are may need to change to achieve the weight you desire.

In this topic you will explore:

  • The link between your weight and your identity and the process of change
  • How your sense of identity may be the driver of your beliefs and behaviours 
  • ‘Being’ different, and why that is an important part of your change process
  • How life roles and purpose can be drivers of change as well as potential barriers
  • How adjusting your sense of self and what’s important to you can unlock your potential to achieve what you want

Topic 7 — Goals & Mission

Identify what you want in your life, your mission and the motivation to achieve it.

Using all the new tools and techniques presented in this course, we will help you prepare for what comes next, for what you will create in your life. We will teach you a method for creating and committing to the completion of your goals, both small and large. This method will help you understand what it is you really want to have, to be, and achieve.
